DIVINE BLESSED AND DEDICATED
I WANT TO TALK ABOUT OUR BODIES
Lately I have been super conscious ( one of the 3 guiding principles of the 3 minute way) of what I put into my body. It’s been quite enlightening to say the least and invigorating. High protein is what I am going for as when you are transforming your body or simply reclaiming the body that was once yours, protein is the building block of all nutrients and is the big daddy of fat burners. Yesterday I found a real high protein recipe and on my lunch I came home and threw it together in the crockpot so that when I got off work it was waiting for me to eat. It was delicious.
Chicken taco soup:
1 pound of chicken strips
1 can of petite diced tomatoes
1 can of tomato sauce
1 can of kidney beans
1/2 onion chopped
1 green pepper chopped
1 can of garbanzo beans drained
1 tbs chili powder 1 tbs cumin
garlic salt to taste. throw it all in the crock pot on high for 6 hours.
The point is that we are to make our bodies a living sacrifice…holy, according to Paul in Romans 12:1 Never has this jumped out at me so much as it did today. “Holy” in the Greek translation means, “likeness of nature with the Lord” and “different from the world”
Today when you go out into “the world” take a moment to notice how many obese people you see, how many fast food restaurants there are, and take a mental note of how often you feel you need to stop and get a coffee or fast food. Let’s take a step back and start today to be “different from the world” Let me clarify this statement. Am I saying that obese people are not holy ? No, what I am referring to is a state of abnormal and excessive fat accumulation that might impair health. Our bodies were made to move and if we do not move or keep them in a condition in which they can move it reflects an unhealthy state of existence. When let fat accumulate to the point that it prevents our bodies from moving as they should it creates an unhealthy state and also can create more problems, like a domino affect.
Make our bodies a living sacrifice, by only putting what is good for it in it. Our bodies are divine, blessed, and sacred.
Isn’t it time we start treating it so?
