It is February and for those of us that live with four seasons, it is in a state of change. Temperatures are rising, the roads are clear to travel. You are feeling more energy to get out and start walking and moving more. You may however be experiencing some weight loss slump at this time and I know why.

It is highly likely that you overindulged through the holidays. Even if you did not, you might have had less exercise because of the weather (which is one of the obstacles that you face when incorporating exercise into your life) Whatever the reason, you are feeling discouraged now because you started working out in January and you are not seeing any results, in fact you feel like you are gaining. So you want to just say…Why even try anymore?

You are experiencing weight gain now because of your overindulgence in November and December. You can’t really gain weight over night. So that entire plate of cookies you helped Santa eat on Christmas Eve, they are sitting on your hips now. That 3rd helping of pumpkin pie is right there on your waistline. Those rolls are added to your belly fat and butt.  It takes approximately 2-3 months to actually start seeing the results of overindulgence. But the good news is you have stopped and are back on track. So now give yourself that same amount of time to see results.

I recently created an email series on Belly Fat, this is the perfect adjunct to your getting back on track regimen. Check it out!
