HOW TO INCORPORATE 15 QUALITY MINUTES OF FITNESS INTO YOUR DAY LIKE AN EXPERT while improving your digestive system.

WOW, that sounds like a big order to deliver. 

In actuality it is simple.

So simple you will not be able to stop doing it once you start. It all starts with water.

I know I have talked endlessly about the power of drinking water and how important it is to your overall health.  I hope you are taking my advise on this and getting in 6-8 (8oz) glasses of water each day. Let me ask you this. What happens when you drink water?  For most of us (and the older we get the higher the incidence) in about an hour or so we will need to empty our bladders. If you drink at least 6 (8oz) glasses during your normal work day, and if you effectively listen to your bodies cues, you will need to go to the restroom at least 5 times during the day.

This is where it gets interesting. This is when you need to ask yourself. Am I worth it? If you are confused right now let me break it down for you.

  1. If you are not listening to your bodies cues, to relieve your bladder, why not? This is the only body you have and you need to take care of it. Not emptying your bladder when it calls you to do so can have many detrimental effects including loss of muscle tone and incomplete emptying, which as we age is NOT a good thing.

  2. The  next question is when you go to the restroom to empty your bladder are you worth giving yourself 3 minutes while you are in there to fit in a quick workout?

WHAT?

Are  you crazy you might be saying?

No I’m absolutely serious and here is why. There has been a ton of research done regarding the benefits of short bursts of moderate intensity exercise. Including increased cardio, increased tone, lowers blood pressure, alleviates menopausal mood swings, improves sleep and many more including weight loss. This form of exercise can easily be done without a wardrobe change and can give you a burst of energy during the day as well.  As you can see in the video below it is easy and fun to do.

Trust me no one will think you are crazy. If anything they will envy you and admire you for taking action to keep active. Incorporate five 3 minute workouts into your day and you will have only 15 minutes left when you get home to walk ,dance,bike or whatever to give yourself 30 minutes of quality fitness every day.

So how is this improving your digestive system? Drinking enough water almost guarantees daily bowel movement. Which for some of you would be a God send. Imagine not having to worry if you are going to have one on a daily basis ever again. It will be a natural non stressful event. Combined with the movements you are doing in your workout it increases peristalsis and effectiveness of bowel evacuation.

That is it!
