STOP DOING THIS

One of my good friends asked me if I could see any difference in my weight now that I am walking much farther and faster, I told her only when I stop doing it.

3 minutes of exercise done throughout the day provides me with much more than just burning calories and to be truthful sometimes I forget and think that my walking is enough. Well it isn’t.  Don’t get me wrong something is better than nothing ALWAYS!! More essential however is the 3minutes incorporated into your day to producing the feel good hormones that then goes on to motivate you to do more. It also promotes a good nights sleep which is again another essential to obtaining your weight loss goals and mental health. So don’t do it. Stop not doing doing your 3 minutes. In my course Happy Weight Loss, which I have begun to aggressively promote I take you through the basic building blocks of the program which include the importance of embracing this simple idea. Once it takes hold we are able to change the way we respond to the same stimuli (ie food) in new ways by creating new brain pathways ( habits). It is science baby. Once you have this foundation and the knowledge your chances of success soar to new heights.

As a registered nurse with lets just say a LOT of years of experience under my belt I can tell you that patient teaching is of utmost importance in reducing the recovery time and accelrating the healing process of any patient. In fact a major part of a nurses documentation should always include: “patient teaching done, patient acknowledges a clear understanding” The second extremely important part of the process is providing enough information to both patient and family so that they feel confident in knowing what to do after they are discharged to home.

 

Today I forgive myself and get back on the bicycle.

 

 

Review is so important.  As I prepare to launch my e-course I am ashamed to admit, but thankful that I now know what my god damn problem has been for the past few months, as I have been in a slump. It’s because I (the creator and leading expert in this type of exercise mind you) have stopped doing the 3 minutes incorporated exercise and had forgotten that it has been proven that while doing this type of exercise your brain cannot dwell on negative thoughts. Parts of your brain are actually invigorated by doing this type of exercise. By interrupting thoughts and behavior patterns you will begin to create new brain pathways.

Today I forgive myself and get back on the bicycle. We all crash and burn some times. It is the ability to get back on the bike that counts. It is our psychological flexibility.
