I recently changed my tag line to my business

because my co worker laughed when she saw “3 MINUTES OF EXERCISE INCORPORATED INTO YOUR DAY NATURALLY.”  “Really? she asked between bursts of laughter” 3 minutes is all it takes as she doubled over in her chair.” I stuck to my guns and presented the scientific facts to her.  I think my point was made more pungently clear later in the day though.

Our office is located across the parking lot from a hard core cross fitness gym.

When I say hard core I mean insane types of exercise, like flipping a tire from a road grader the length of the parking lot.

This particular day however, when I drove into the parking lot after an appointment, I saw two grown men, with leather straps secured across their chest and attached to what may be the equivalent to a car engine, dragging them back to the gym, sweating profusely.  

I pointed this out to my co-worker and simply said, “don’t you think that their wives have some hard physical labor that they could do instead of wasting their time with this ridiculous form of exercise?”  “And how much do you want to bet that this is the last time they will do this type of exercise?”

Cross fit craziness is just for weekend warriors who want to be able to say, “Yeah I did that” but in reality they have not changed their lifestyle one bit.

It would be impossible and just crazy to think that you could make THAT part of your life.

You can do it anywhere anytime anyplace and the more you do it the more it becomes part of your life.  The more you do it the more you want to, because you begin to feel the positive effects of it. When you stop doing it because maybe you have started another program, you will feel the negative effects and want to start back again.
